My husband and I got married 4/28/12. We hired Hannah for a month of service. Had we known how amazing she was, we would have hired her to plan our entire wedding. If you like to be in control or are do-it-yourselfers like us, hire her because she is the perfect blend of authority and politeness. Not only does she take charge, but she does what it takes to get the job done and get your vision accomplished. She worried about things as small as a mini candle to start the flame to light the unity candle to cabs at the end of the night for guests.

If you are worried about cost, she’ll actually end up saving you time and money with her knowledge and through her preferred vendors as well. We had interviewed several photographers and florists on our own just about the time we hired her, and we were about to make a decision on them. We ended up interviewing two of her preferred vendors and actually hired them instead. She saved us about $2,000 and we were happy with both vendors.

Hannah is on top of things and lets you enjoy your day. If we have a large event in the future we will definitely hire her again. She was an important link that made our wedding a success and definitely run smoothly.

Our families can’t stop raving about how awesome she was. Even our caterer loved working with her. She did an amazing job!

Dawn was amazing!! We had engaged her as a Day Of Coordinator, but she was definitely more than that! She checked in every month to see how we were doing and if we needed any help. I hired Dawn from Hannah Smith Events for my wedding and she was absolutely amazing! I knew within the first couple of minutes of sitting down with her for an interview I wanted her as our month of coordinator. She was professional, easy to talk to and completely understood my vision. Any questions I had or if I needed help with anything, she was quick to respond and willing to help. Hannah, Dawn, and Sarah were amazing! A week before our wedding we found out that we couldn’t use a portion of the site we had purchased a permit for, for our sit down dinner. Hannah Dawn, and Sarah were on top of it immediately and came up with a couple alternatives for us to pick from and how they could make it even better than our original plan. They were really great at communicating with both myself and my now husband, as well as working with the city in charge of the permit on our behalf. The set up and break down for our event was speedy and our friends and family still talk about how beautiful everything was, especially since it was on a budget! Dawn also took care of designing and creating my bouquet and it was better than most of the ones I saw in magazines. If you need great coordinators that will work with whatever you can imagine, Hannah Smith Events is the way to go!

Hannah is amazing! I needed a wedding planner who would help me navigate the hell that is wedding planning. I had all these crazy ideas like buying the flowers from a Farmer’s Market the day of the event and switching my table assignment from rows to tables 2 hours before the ceremony. Hannah hones the crazy, irrational, emotional bride in and handles business.

Not only does she help finalize all the details of the event from timelines to loading up cars at the end of the night, she acts as a medium for family members who may otherwise kill one another. That is priceless!

I can say that my wedding day went off without a hitch and I owe it to the grace, patience and professionalism of Hannah.

Normally I don’t write reviews, but I just had to share my thoughts and feelings regarding Hannah and the amazing job she did. At first, we were looking to plan the wedding ourselves but after getting stuck regarding the color scheme and decorations, we decided to enlist Hannah’s help. She was able to take the vision in my wife’s head and make it come to life. Everything from the chairs, napkins, linen, lights, flowers, etc. was just amazing. She was key as a resource and helped us find the perfect DJ and florist which only added to the fantastic ambience. She was there for us every step of the way. Even when she had a previous engagement, she still made the time and effort to be there for us when we met with our catering company. Best thing of all was that she took care of everything (and I mean everything, we even had a little snafu with our marriage certificate which she was able to resolve) during our wedding which meant that all we had to do was enjoy the day. My wife and I would definitely recommend Hannah to anyone looking for an amazing wedding coordinator.

Where do I start?! I decided to plan a wedding in 5 months and knew I needed a wedding planner since I lived in the bay area but my wedding was going to be in SD. I searched dozens of sites and read countless reviews. After narrowing down to a handful of coordinators I called Hannah Smith Events.

Hannah was the first planner I spoke to and after our initial conversation I felt really good about her (call it a woman’s intuition?! lol) She was warm, smart and was very confident she could pull this off & on top of that her rate was very competitive!

Of course my fiance wasn’t going to let me hire the first person I talked to but I knew all along it would be Hannah. I did my due diligence and spoke to a few other wedding planners and I just didn’t get the same feeling and some were either priced way too high or a bit low which made me nervous.

I ended up hiring Hannah for my Aug 10th wedding to handle my entire wedding planning and she immediately got to work. I am a very picky person and very much into every little detail. Hannah took it in stride – she didn’t mind the countless emails, texts & phone calls. My wedding came out even better than I could have ever dreamed! She knows so many vendors (many family run or small businesses which I loved) and provided me with multiple options for most things.

I hate long reviews but Hannah was just so incredibly professional, sweet, creative, and the list goes on & on. If you are looking for a wedding planner in the San Diego area you will not regret hiring Hannah and her team. No way could I have pulled off the wedding I had without her!!

We hired Hannah for month-of coordination. It was SO helpful having someone else that would contact your vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding and she always got answers ASAP and never complained or made us feel crazy when we asked more and more questions…Our wedding day would NOT have been anything close to as wonderful as it was without Hannah!! We literally worried about NOTHING the day of. She was always one step ahead and had everything thought through before it even came to our mind. She coordinated all of our vendors not only at the sites, but also made sure everyone knew what was going on between the photographer, videographer, limo driver, AND the set up of the ceremony and reception/cocktail hour, which was even more complicated than a lot of weddings in that the ceremony and reception were in different places AND neither of them were where we stayed and got ready day of (i.e. where the photog and videog had to go). She had everything we needed, knew how to pin and fix my hair as the night went on, had an emergency kit handy for whatever we needed, and stayed all the way til the very end to make sure nothing was left and everything was cared for. I cringe at the thought of what our wedding would’ve been like had we not had Hannah, and I can’t thank her enough. You were amazing Hannah!!! Thank you SO much 🙂
