Maryssa Stovall – Wedding Coordinator, Northern California Representative:
I was raised in the small town of Sonoma, CA. It’s not only a beautiful area but also has such a close knit community which I absolutely love and feel so blessed to have.
How long have you been in the wedding and events industry?
It’s been 7 years now, and I couldn’t be more content with my career choice. Every wedding I get to be a part of reminds me why I love what I do so much. Choosing this path was the best decision I have made.
What is your favorite part of wedding planning?
Knowing there are two more happily married people at the end of the day is always worth all of the endless hours of planning. It’s an incredibly rewarding job. I love when the couple’s personality shines through in all of the little details of their special day.
When you are not coordinating weddings, what do you enjoy doing?
My passions outside of my job include interior design, writing & reading, traveling, photography; and being around the ones I love.
Where is your favorite place to vacation?
Oh that’s an easy one – Anywhere with tropical weather and a beach!
I’m pretty familiar with Mexico but have also traveled to other sunny places that I’ve loved such as Hawaii, Grand Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and Australia (which was my favorite!)
What are your favorite restaurants or spots in Sonoma/Napa?
Saddles is a delicious steakhouse inside of Sonoma’s most charming historic inn, MacArthur Place. I worked there for 5 years and the staff is like a second family to me.
If you’re not in the mood for steak, I recommend Della Santina’s.
Della Santinas is a cute and quaint Italian restaurant in the heart of the Sonoma plaza and is my go-to spot for any birthday or celebratory dinner!
How do you want to be remembered?
I hope to make a difference in peoples lives, whether it be big or small. Leaving a positive impact on those around me is a lifelong goal.
